Punjabi Practice Membership
Weekly speaking and reading practice for people who want to keep using their Punjabi and build their confidence.
You might understand Punjabi but freeze when it's your turn to speak.
Or maybe you've learnt Punjabi before, but don't have anyone to practise with.
This is your space to practise without feeling embarrassed, judged or worried about getting it wrong.
Live sessions every Tuesday, with occasional holiday breaks.
Choose one or join both.
Practise without worrying about mistakes.
Stay for as long as it's useful.

Maybe you understand Punjabi when someone speaks to you.
Maybe you know what you want to say but can't get the sentence out quickly enough.
Maybe you've been learning Punjabi but don't have anyone around you to practise with.
That's what the membership is for.
You don't need another pile of vocabulary to memorise.
You need somewhere you can actually use the Punjabi you already know.
Build confidence answering questions and having conversations.
Practise reading Punjabi and Gurbani regularly and build fluency over time.
Keep using the Punjabi you've already learnt so it becomes easier and more natural.
You don't need to sit through another Punjabi lesson. You need chances to actually use your Punjabi.
Every Tuesday, we come together online to practise. No cameras needed.
Conversations, roleplays, questions and different activities to get you actually speaking Punjabi.
Practise reading Punjabi and Gurbani regularly and build your confidence and fluency.
Live sessions every Tuesday, with occasional breaks during school holidays.

We answer your questions and practice on a scenario each week.
We don't want you to memorise lists of Punjabi words but still struggle to have a conversation.
We practise Punjabi through everyday topics, helping you gradually build your vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure as you speak.

We don't teach grammar as a list of rules to memorise. We introduce it naturally through the conversations and topics we're practising.
This is for you if....
You already know some Punjabi
You want somewhere to practise regularly
You understand more than you speak
You want to keep your Punjabi active
You want regular reading practice
You want a friendly space where mistakes are okay
You may have completed the 1:1 sessions or a Group programme (but not needed)
This is probably not for you if ....
You're starting completely from zero
You're looking for structured weekly tuition
You need individual teaching or corrections outside the sessions
You want someone available throughout the week for questions
Being able to join in when your family are speaking Punjabi.
Answering without translating the sentence in your head first.
Having a proper conversation with your grandparents.
Feeling comfortable speaking even when you don't get every word right.
Keeping your Punjabi and Gurbani reading going instead of slowly losing it.
That's the Punjabi we're working towards. 💛
That's completely normal. It's one of the reasons we keep cameras off so the pressure is off. If you don't want to have a go, that's ok to, just message in the chat and no-one will call upon you. But there will be encouragement to get involved after a few sessions because using the Punjabi is the best way to get confident using it.
All lessons take place online using Google Meet, so you can learn from home wherever you are in the world. Once you're set up with your tutor, we'll send you everything you need to join your sessions.
We understand that plans change so if you can't make a session, just let us know
